Get to know me…
My work is centered on one purpose, helping people become the strongest version of themselves, mentally, physically, and professionally. What drives me is witnessing transformation, the moment someone pushes past limitation, overcomes resistance, and experiences the confidence that comes from doing what once felt impossible.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Illinois State University, graduating Cum Laude in 2010. Early in my career, I stepped into leadership as a Group Fitness Manager at Gold’s Gym at just 21 years old, building a foundation in both performance and people development.
In 2015, I became the Studio Manager of an Orangetheory Fitness location in downtown Chicago, where I led presale efforts that resulted in nearly 500 founding members before opening. At 26, I transitioned into ownership, acquiring three Orangetheory Fitness studios in Central Illinois. For nearly a decade, I have operated as both a multi-unit franchise owner and coach, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, growth, and resilience through every phase of business.
I have worked closely with corporate leadership as a long-standing member of the Franchise Advisory Council’s Sales and Marketing Subcommittee, while also piloting initiatives that have influenced the broader Orangetheory network. This includes programs such as OTF Outdoors, early entry models, and personal training integrations.
In 2026, I became a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner through iPEC, one of the most respected coaching programs globally. The Energy Leadership Index is recognized as a leading tool for developing self-awareness, leadership, and sustainable performance.
My approach is rooted in integration, combining the science of human performance and psychology with real-world business experience. Having built and led multiple businesses through both growth and challenge, I understand what it truly takes to perform at a high level. My coaching is designed to create lasting change from the inside out, elevating not just one area of life, but all of them.
I also live the same realities as the people I coach. I am a business owner, a coach, a wife and a mom of three boys, balancing ambition, responsibility, and performance every day. I understand the demands, the pressure, and the desire to be better in all areas of life, and I bring that perspective into every coaching relationship.
A Reputation Built Through People
“I've known Heather Caputo for six years, first when I was COO at Orangetheory Fitness and since then as a friend and peer in franchising.
I'm happy to vouch for her as she starts her coaching business.
Heather ran several successful Orangetheory studios as an entrpreneur and leader. Her teams were strong, her members were loyal, and people wanted to work for her.
But what I remember most is how much she gave back to the brand. She served on our Franchise Advisory Committee, showed up for the subcommittee work, and always came with a clear view of what was actually happening in studios. She made our conversations at corporate better and more grounded.
She never just went along with things. If something didn't add up, she'd ask about it. If she had a better idea, she'd share it. She did it respectfully and always with the brand's best interest in mind, which is why people at every level trusted her.
Heather has done the hard parts herself: hiring, leading, growing multiple locations, and working through the tough moments with a franchisor. She knows how to turn that into advice other leaders can use. Anyone who works with her is getting someone who's been there..”
— Former COO Orangetheory Fitness“Working for Heather for over four years was one of the most meaningful experiences of my professional career, and her leadership played a significant role in my growth from Sales Associate to Studio Manager, Regional Manager, and ultimately Illinois Studio Manager of the Year.
Heather has always led by example, setting a high standard while making the people around her feel supported, trusted, and capable of reaching it. She challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, gave me the space to be honest about my concerns, and consistently provided the guidance and encouragement I needed to take the next step.
More importantly, she helped me develop a confidence in my abilities that I didn't always have. She taught me to navigate challenges, learn from mistakes, have difficult conversations, and trust that I was capable of doing hard things. The culture I strive to bring into every environment I am part of reflects what Heather modeled for me, with high expectations, genuine care, and a focus on helping people feel supported, valued, and inspired to become better than when they started.”
— Former Regional Manager and 2026 Illinois Studio Manager of the Year
